The Traditions

Every App State fan knows the 'App Cheer' — a rhythmic call-and-response that echoes through The Rock on every big third down. The team's entrance is preceded by the marching band leading the crowd through fight songs while Yosef, the mountaineer mascot, fires up the student section.

Pregame Rituals

After every touchdown, fans raise their arms in a unified 'A-P-P... S-T-A-T-E' spell-out that builds to a roar.

In-Game Moments

The program's proud history — including three consecutive FCS national championships (2005-2007) and that legendary 2007 upset at Michigan — infuses every home game with a sense of defiant, underdog pride.
